Roughly eight months ago I was trying to come up with a way to get people more involved in spriting. As a moderator of r/beadsprites I was already “advertising” to r/gaming to pull some new members our way, but if they didn’t get involved with the activity or see something new, I didn’t think they’d stick around. After a little bit of thought, I came up with the idea to have annual challenges to create, open to all members, and called it the BSC or Bead Sprites Challenge! Each month, a topic is selected and anybody who wants to enter can create something and submit a picture of it. At the end of the year, there may be prizes involved, but all of that hasn’t been hammered out yet. There were only a couple rules: It had to be something YOU created, not somebody else created and you took a picture of. It should be something created specifically for the challenge, not something you’ve had sitting around for a few months. Anyway, we’re on challenge #9 now and we’ve had over 100 entries with almost 60 contributors and it’s just plain awesome!
This month’s challenge is to create something you can interact with, so I made a mustache! I’ve made quite a few of these before, but I’ve also made several custom designs, too.
And here’s how to wear it (as if you needed instruction)
Raised eyebrow is required!
That’s all for today, happy beading!
